Editorial policy
Silver Running Review aims to be accurate, independent and clear about how its material is presented. We explain what we know, make uncertainty visible and correct meaningful errors rather than allowing them to sit quietly on the page.
Accuracy and context
We check factual claims against appropriate sources and review descriptions for clarity and context. Objects can carry different histories, and appearance alone may not settle a question of age, composition or origin. Where a point is uncertain or depends on information we do not have, we say so rather than turning a guess into a fact.
Independence
Editorial choices are made for their relevance to readers and the subject, not as a promise of favourable coverage. A commercial relationship does not determine an article’s conclusions, and contributors should disclose interests that could reasonably affect how their work is understood.
Corrections
Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page. We review correction requests, update material when warranted and make significant changes clear to readers. A correction is not a bad mark against a publication; leaving a known error untouched is.
Partners and illustrations
Paid, gifted or partner-supported material is labelled plainly so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when an illustration is synthetic rather than a photograph of a real object, we identify it accordingly.
